About Ofaolains
A Veteran Excavation Crew for the Gallatin Valley
Ofaolains has been running earthwork across Bozeman, Montana and the surrounding Gallatin County for more than twenty years. We handle the dirt work under houses, driveways, utility runs, and full subdivision lots, from topsoil stripping and cut-and-fill grading to foundation excavation, trenching, and compacted structural fill. The operators who bid your job are the same ones on the controls.
That kind of history matters on this ground. Valley soil shifts from silty loam to river cobble, the frost line runs deep, and a spring water table can turn a basement dig into a pumping job overnight. A crew that has already dug those conditions reads a lot before the first cut and plans the sequence around what the soil will actually do.
How We Work
- 811 first, always. We locate gas, water, and fiber two business days before a bucket touches soil.
- Compaction to spec. Structural fill goes in as lifts and is tested to 95 percent of maximum dry density.
- A written scope. The grade targets, the compaction spec, and the number are on paper before we mobilize.
- Accountable and insured. A licensed, insured local crew with a named operator on every job.
